Chapter 4

I strictly forbid all the Brothers from receiving, in any manner whatsoever, either personally or through a third party, any money or currency.

Nevertheless, let only the Ministers and Custodians take great care to provide, through the help of spiritual friends, for the needs of the sick and for the clothing of the other Brothers, as they deem necessary according to the places, times, and colder regions. However, they must always observe what has been said: that they should not receive any money or currency.
